Walgreens Trip, September 27, 2010

I like this post a lot.  One thing that I hear a lot when I post the results of my shopping trips is, "Wow!  You never pay anything!!  This trip busts that myth to pieces. Yes, a lot of trips cost me very little OOP, but I purchase everyday items too, and that costs money.  I never want people to feel discouraged because they think that every shopping trip that I go on ends with me paying .27 and leaving with 4 billion RRs.  That is not true!  I never realized that people might actually think this until I went with a friend to do regular old grocery shopping and she said, "Oh!  I feel so much better knowing that you do normal, full-cost shopping too!"

This week we needed an umbrella, nuts, and the Emergen-C.  By purchasing them at Walgreens and using the RRs it helped me to pay less than I would at Wal-Mart, so I went with it.

Here's what I got:

• 1 Emergen-C Drink mix
• 1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion lotion
• 1 Full Bar (which are GROSS, by the way)
• 2 Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese
• 2 Blue Diamond Almonds
• 3 Halls Refresh cough drops
• 1 plastic Skeleton cup
• 2 pack Banana Boat Spray sunscreen (clearanced to $4.24 for TWO!!)
• 1 small umbrella (Benjamin's died and he needed one for his backpack)
• 1 package poster board (clearanced to .74)
