    WalMart: 90% off ALL Halloween!!!!

Get yourself over to Wal-Mart right now!  everything Halloween related is 90% off.  This includes things like cupcake liners, cookie cutters, costumes, candy, etc.  I went to the one on Estes and picked up the following:

12 Darth Vader costumes (he's always in style!!)
1 Super Mario Brothers, Mario costume
2 Pirate Baby costmes (girl, 4T)
    1 Candy Corn costume
    1 Buzz Lightyear costume
    2 Fairy costumes
8 pairs of boys Halloween underwear (no one sees them!!  4 not pictured)
    2 Wilton Holiday sugar mixes
    3 Wilton orange sugar crystals

    Regular Price:  $412.70
    I paid:  $43.24

Now, what will I do with 12 Darth Vader costumes?  I could outfit an entire army from the Dark Side.  While that is interesting, I confess that I will do something a bit more money-minded.  I intend to hold on to them and then sell them around Halloween next year.  Last year I bought an Optimus Prime costume for Benjamin, and it turned out that he didn't like it.  I put it. on eBay and hoped that I could make my $2 back.  Someone bought it for $11!!  Nice.  So, we'll see.....

It may turn out that Benjamin will have the same costume until college.  Or every birthday boy we know will get a Darth Vader costume.  Or......

A List of Store Coupon Policies

Rules!! Who likes 'em?! Well, when it comes to couponing rules, I do!! It helps me know what is allowed and it helps cashiers know what is allowed. And, well, to be completely honest, it gently helps aggressive cashiers off of their pretty little high horses. ;-)

Here is a list of coupon policies from stores that I use often. I am awaiting an email from both Kroger and CVS that contains their OFFICIAL policy as I cannot find one online. I'll update when I find it.

    Walmart Trip, 9-20-10

I had to run to Wal-Mart for a few things this morning, and stumbled upon a few good deals. Here they are:

This 2 pound box of grapes was only $1. I prefer to buy grapes when they are .98/lb, so this was great. It made it .50/lb. Olivia was excited!

Olivia needed some new pajamas. I checked out the clothing section and found these long-sleeved, organic cotton pajamas for $5. That might be more than some are willing to pay for clothing, but pajamas, underwear, and socks are things I prefer to buy new. And, hey, it's organic cotton--whatever that means. ;-)

And the best deal that I found was on Glade. Check the clearance section of your store for this. The Glade Candleholders were clearanced for $1. There is a $1/1 coupon for Glade Scented Oil products. There is also a Buy 1 Glade Candleholder and Get Scented Oil Candle Refills for Free! So, these were both free. The candleholders have a coupon inside of the box too!!

Find anything else at your Walmart? Drop me a line and I'll share it with everyone!!

    Happy shopping!

3 Pairs of Shoes for $15!!!

Just today I was thinking that Benjamin really needed some tennis shoes. He outgrew 3 sizes last year!! I didn't get him any over the summer because he has flip flops, Crocs, and sandals. I don't like buying shoes and the price tag on nice shoes is a bit more than I like to spend. I actually prayed about Benjamin's shoes!! And God, ever faithful, answered!!

I was in Wal-Mart today (the one on Estes) and they were starting to clearance shoes. A salesperson just walked by me in the aisle and said, "Go to the table by the shoe section. They're all $5." I was surprised...and very pleased. Well, they have a whole table FULL of shoes, and every single pair is $5! I was thrilled!!

I got Benjamin 3 pairs in 2 sizes. He was very happy when I brought them home. My children sure are fond of shoes. Hmm. Smart kids!!!

They were still pricing and pulling more shoes out of the shoe aisles. I bet they have lots left! Go see!!

Great Savings on Paint at Wal-Mart

Lately, I have really been wanting to redecorate our room. We haven't done a thing to it since we moved here 8 years ago!

Part of my problem is that I am decoratively-challenged. The other part is that paint can be very expensive. I prefer to buy paint at a store that we'll call...uh...Werwin Shilliams. The problem is that their paint is VERY expensive. I prefer this paint because, since I hate to paint, I want to put it on the wall and have it stick the first time......no bubbling or peeling or any of that mess. So, I tend to shy away from cheaper paint.

So, I have noticed a rack in the back of the paint section at Wal-Mart several times. I always thought that it was where they stored the mess ups until they could dispose of them. When I walked past it today, I noticed that there were clearance stickers on it, but many didn't have prices. I asked the lady who worked in that section how much they were discounted. She said 50%!!

Apparently when someone picks a color and it doesn't come out quite how they wanted, the store doesn't want to lose that money, so they discount the "mistinted" paint.

So I got a $24 gallon of Dutch Boy paint for $9.98!!

Now, who wants to help paint?!
