Walgreens Finally Posts Coupon Policy

Will wonders never cease?! During the 2 years that I have been couponing, I have often been frustrated by Walgreens and their lack of coupon policy. Well, to be completely honest, it has been the cashiers' lack of knowledge of their own coupon policy. Well, those days may be behind us.

Go here to see AND PRINT the Walgreens coupon policy. Oh, happy day!  Here's what it says:

  • All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of checkout.
  • Walgreens does not accept expired coupons.
  • Coupons and their face value cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
  • Competitor coupons are not accepted at Walgreens.
  • Walgreens cannot accept coupons for items not carried in our stores.
  • The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register RewardsTM manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction. The total value of the coupons may not exceed the value of the transaction. Sales tax must be paid, if required by state law.
  • Any coupon offer not covered in these guidelines will be accepted at the discretion of Walgreens management.

Sale Items

  • Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
  • In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

Multiple Coupons

  • When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
  • The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).
  • When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons

  • When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
  • Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.

Internet/Print at Home Coupons

  • Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.

Register RewardsTM coupons

Earning Register RewardsTM
  • Register RewardsTM will only print for in-stock merchandise during the promotional period.
  • Register RewardsTM can only be earned for eligible items. No substitutions.
  • There is a limit of one Register RewardsTM (RR) printed per offer per customer per transaction.
  • Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.
Redeeming Register RewardsTM
  • Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.
  • Refer to Register RewardsTM coupon for expiration date.
  • The RR coupon value cannot exceed the total purchase amount. No cash back and no cash value for RR coupon.
  • The number of manufacturer coupons, including RR manufacturer coupons, must not exceed the number of items in the transaction.
  • Register RewardsTM must be forfeited if the qualifying merchandise is returned.
  • Register RewardsTM cannot be used toward the purchase of gift cards and pre-paid cards.
  • Register RewardsTM can be redeemed for eligible items only. Ineligible items include but are not limited to:
    • Prescriptions
    • Tobacco products
    • Alcoholic beverages

How to use E-coupons

E-coupons are coupons that are loaded directly onto your shopper loyalty card. There are several stores to choose from, but the one that I shop at most frequently is Kroger.

E-coupons are very easy to use. When you check out, the cashier will scan your loyalty card. The coupons will automatically come off of your total (I always check my receipt to make sure that they did). The EXTRA nice thing is that these can be combined with your manufacturer coupons. So, if you have a $1/1 Cheerios manufacturer coupon and a .55/1 e-coupon, they'd combine for a total of $1.55 off of your item. Yay!

Here's what you do:
  • Go get your Kroger card!
  • Click on one of the links below.
  • Sign up (if you're new).
  • Enter in the number on the back of your Kroger card.
  • Choose the E-coupons that you want to use.
  • SHOP!! (The fun part!)

Here's a bit of information about e-coupons:
  • You can get them from Shortcuts, Cellfire, Kroger, and P&G.
  • You do not have to do anything with these coupons. They are loaded onto your shopper card, and come off automatically at the register. If you look at your receipt, you'll see where they came off. It's nice to not have to clip extra coupons!!
  • Once you load them, they should be ready to use in about an hour.
  • They do NOT double or triple. Even if your store's coupon policy doubles or triples, these coupons are only good for their face value.
  • They can only be used once. If you have 10 of the same item, it is only going to take $$ off of one of them.
  • If you have 2 of the same coupon, but one is from Shortcuts and one is from Cellfire, it will only remove one of them per transaction. I usually just do 2 transactions in order to be able to use both...especially if it makes it free!
  • Once the e-coupon has been used, it cannot be used again.
Have a question? See something I forgot? Leave me a comment and I'll take care of it!

Happy shopping!!

New Cellfire Coupons

Have no idea what e-coupons are? Don't fret! Read here.

Cellfire put out some new e-coupons!! I added mine this evenings.

Go here and add them to your card(s). E-coupons are a great way to save even more money while you shop.

CVS Trip, August 16, 2010 and a chance to GIVE!

New to CVS? Go here to read How To Do CVS.

This trip was rewarding in more ways than one. There were excellent deals due to lots of 75% off clearance stickers, but the best part was running into a man outside of the store who asked for something to eat. We stopped and got him something to eat, but I was also able to give him a large sack of stuff just from my shopping on this night. He left with dinner, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, razor, laundry soap, M&Ms, cookies, and 3 RRs that were going to expire this week!!

I'll say it again...the best thing that you can do with all of your stockpiles is GIVE GIVE GIVE!! I love that the Lord has blessed me with an ability that allows me to help others! I am so thankful!

So, here's what I got (For the picture, I added items from my stockpile so that you could see what all was purchased even though a lot of it had been given away):

Another Awesome Kroger Trip!! August 17, 2010

New to Kroger? Go here for How To Do Kroger!

Sometimes when I do really well at a store, and hardly spend any money, Kevin will ask me, "Are the cops coming?" You know....since it appears as though I have robbed the store!! LoL!

This was a great week at Kroger. Here's the extra good part--this sale is going on next week too!

A couple weeks ago, during the P&G sale at Kroger, they never had the Gillette Body Wash or the Gillette Shaving Cream. I got the rain check for both. I went back later in the week and they still didn't have it. I got another rain check. I fulfilled one of them last night and got these:

12 Gillette Body Washes ($1.99 each)
4 Gillette Shaving Cream ($1.47 each)

Coupons used:
(12) $2/1 Gillette Body Wash
(4) $2/1 Gillette Shaving Gel

Paid OOP: Nothing THEY PAID ME: $2.58

These are the other things that I got:

4 bags Bugles
5 bags of Chex Mix
2 Snyder's pretzel rods
2 Bounty Basic Paper Towels
2 Total Cereal
3 Hamburger Helper
1 Quaker Rice Cake snacks
3 boxes Nature's Valley Granola bars (got $1.50 back for buying 3)

1 Lady Speed Stick
1 Yoplait Fiber One yogurt
2 packages organic baby carrots

Today I got a check in the mail for $8.87. Why did I get it? Did I work very diligently for a couple of hours? NO! I got it because I was shopping online...in my pajamas! It's true. Welcome to Ebates!

This is how it works. Every time you shop online, you get a percentage of your purchase refunded to you! The savings ranges from 1%-26%!! I have found that most of the places I shop at are around 4-6%.

Say you're going to do some shopping online at Target. You'd simply go to Ebates, type in Target, click it, and that's it. It will tell you what percentage you'd get back. Then, it will redirect you to the Target website, and you'd shop as usual. That's it!

Each quarter they send you a check for all of the money that's added up. This quarter I shopped online at The Children's Place, Lane Bryant, and Target.

They have a huge list of stores. They even have eBay! Just a few of the stores listed are: JCPenney's, Walmart, Kohls, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Old Navy, Sears, Dell, and Shutterfly.

Click here to try it out. It is completely free! There is absolutely no catch! I waited until I got my first check before I posted this. So, I can now say that it is legit!!

When you sign up, you automatically get $5 added to your account as a sign up bonus.

Yay for Ebates!!
